The "old house" can still be seen nearby and the family has restored the interior.

Next to the old family home is the hut that was used by Berthilde to, among other things, knit. The remains of the cowshed can be seen nearby.

Although the land was divided among Magne's scions most of the surrounding land now belongs to Magne's sister who has seen to the preservation and restoration of the original family home.

Magnebo

Magne Dypevåg inherited this small bit of land from his parents in 1970.

Magnebo ( lit. "Magne's Place") was commissioned by Magne and was originally to be named Corabo after his wife. However after Magne's death in 1996 all agreed to call it Magnebo.

Fishermen’s shack

A fisherman's cabin, or a rorbu as it is called in Norwegian, is a well-equipped self-service apartment.

Originally they were built to house fishermen during the long fishing seasons. You will find both old and new rorbu along the coast, but especially up north.
This is an extremely popular holiday for Norwegian and foreign tourists alike. Try something totally new! Give yourself the experience of staying in an idyllic fishing center with strong traditions and a culture that is still very much alive. The many activities available include for instance boating, fishing, swimming and scuba diving.

Magnebo is now owned by Magne's descendants.

There are now plans to rent the hut out to the public for family holidays, although these are only in their infancy.
